We dreamt of having our own web startup in the Philippines in 2006 - a place where we can cook up beautiful useful applications, partner with select clients, and collaborate with skilled and creative talent… and where fun and quality are both priorities.
In 2007, we formalized Pigmata Media Inc. and got a great new office space filled with sunshine. We work on Macs on comfy black chairs (with Windows lurking in the corner) and order take-out practically everyday. Our daily tasks include continuous learning and iterations, iterations, iterations.
Meet the team
JP Dela Torre (CEO / Development Director)
JP is the user interface designer and PHP programmer. He’s been a freelance web designer since his college student days. He’s worked on Bidshot and Nestle, and with many other software development companies. He graduated BS Software Engineering. He’s very hands-on and is great at teaching CSS and CakePHP. JP has to get his weekly movie fix.
Lisandro Molina (COO / Creative Director)
Mau is the resident artist and gives deep insights on user experience. He was also a former freelance web designer for more than 7 years and has collaborated with professionals from the UK and US. He previously majored in Architecture and completed his BS in Software Engineering. Quiet, but very well-traveled. He waters our 2 palmera Spretzii plants everyday.
Marie Casas (CFO / Marketing Director)
Marie is the chief money manager and in-house internet marketing professional and research department. She made her first webpage in 1996 but took the corporate route by majoring in Applied Economics and Accountancy. After Unilever and National Federation of Junior Phil. of Accountants, now she’s focusing on web strategies and marketing. She loves the dance floor but hasn’t hit it for a year!
